BoxLunch requires all vendors to certify, in writing, that they comply with all applicable laws prohibiting slavery and human trafficking, including those in the countries where they operate. Vendors must also adhere to BoxLunch’s Vendor Code of Conduct, which strictly forbids the use of forced, slave, or child labor. This certification is not a one-time requirement; vendors must reaffirm their compliance with our Vendor Code of Conduct every time they fulfill an order with us.

Additionally, as a condition of doing business with BoxLunch, all suppliers must expressly certify in writing that they do not engage in any form of forced, slave, or child labor. This reinforces our commitment to ethical sourcing and ensures alignment with our company’s labor standards.

AUDITS

BoxLunch works with independent third-party auditors to conduct annual compliance audits of our international direct-source suppliers. These announced audits assess compliance with our prohibition on human trafficking, forced labor and child labor.

Additionally, BoxLunch reserves the right to conduct periodic site visits at supplier worksites and facilities to monitor compliance with our Vendor Code of Conduct. These visits may be announced or unannounced and are conducted at our discretion to ensure ongoing adherence to our labor standards.

If we become aware of any supplier violating these commitments, we take swift and decisive action, up to and including termination of the business relationship.

BoxLunch’s Product Development team oversees supplier auditing to ensure compliance with our Vendor Code of Conduct. We also provide mechanisms for employees to report concerns, including a confidential business abuse hotline where reports can be made anonymously. We are committed to protecting those who speak up, and we strictly prohibit any form of retaliation against individuals who report concerns or potential violations of our policies.
